Airlines - Recommended for long haul flights friends are highly recommending Royal Brunei (two separate recommendations) followed by Emirite (three recommendations). They are both good value airlines providing good service. A number of friends are not so keen on BA or Quantas! An Australian friend has recommended JAL - and this airline is being researched further.
IMPORTANT - LONG HAUL FLIGHTS particularly on BA. Ensure that you book your FLIGHT and your SEAT at the same time. We have received a number of complaints telling us that seats can be allocated to other travellers if they have not been booked in advance. If you are unable to book a seat then arrive at the airport in plenty of time (4 hours is recommended!) to guarantee a place on your flight. It may be possible to book your seat 24 hours in advance of the flight if you have been unable to book earlier.
If you are able to provide more airport parking details please contact us.
As from 14th November 2007 Eurostar Services will be moving from London Waterloo to London St. Pancreas. The average journey on the new high-speed line is expected to be reduced by approximately 25 minutes.

Don’t always assume that all hotel discount websites will come up with the very best price. If you are satisfied with your price then do no more. If you would prefer to make a final price comparison, then you should make two further checks before you can be sure you have hit rock bottom. First, check direct on the hotel’s website. Several hotel chains including Inter Continental, Marriott and Hilton are now offering best-price guarantees on their own websites. Secondly, bear in mind that in many cases, you can actually save money by buying a package. This is because tour operators buy hotel rooms and airline tickets in bulk, negotiating lower rates.
Consolidators have access to inclusive tour (IT) rates, such as rock bottom fares offered by airlines to certain tour operators on condition that they are sold as part of a package. That usually means flights and a hotel or flights and a hire car. You can find IT rates advertised on the net and book them online. You cannot access them by booking flights on one site and a hotel on another.
Both tour operators direct and internet holiday sites can provide good service. They both offer similar services although prices can vary. In many case the internet is the favourable cost option. Personal preference is very much the option.

Form and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) now replaces the E111.
The EHIC entitles you to reduced cost (or sometimes free) healthcare where treatment becomes necessary during a temporary visit to other countries of the European Economic Area or Switzerland. The card is only valid for treatment offered under the state healthcare schemes operating in these countries; it gives you access to treatment under the same terms as people living in the country you are visiting.
The EHIC is not a substitute for travel insurance. Since it may not cover all health costs and never covers repatriation costs, you are advised to take out a travel insurance policy in addition to the EHIC. Further information including a full list of countries covered along with details of their 'health systems' is available from the Post Office or for information on line click here

Michelin Guide ‘The Michelin guide is light years of ahead of its rivals. Michelin employs approximately 100 inspectors in Europe who travel throughout the continent and achieve unparalleled level of coverage. The Fat Duck, for instance, was visited 25 times by different Michelin inspectors before the restaurant received its award. Only Michelin, can, and does carry out inspections on this scale. The proof of the pudding, as you might say, is in the eating.’ This article was taken from a recent Sunday Magazine Supplement. There have also been articles to the detriment to Michelin, but overall Michelin are one of the best guides.
